Kenya Airways on Wednesday, January 18, flew first batch of hundreds of sheep and goats from South Africa to the island country of Mauritius.

Flying 1800 animals
The cargo flight KQ62421 carrying live Goats and sheep was piloted by Captain Paul Rukwaro and First Officer David Gitoho.
A post on Facebook by the carrier indicated the flight was the first of six others chartered by South Africa to airlift 1800 animals to Mauritius.

"Today we had special guests ‘travelling’ without passports onboard our cargo flight KQ6241," KQ captioned photos of the cargo flight.
"Capt. Paul Rukwaro and First Officer David Gitoho flew live goats and sheep from Johannesburg, South Africa to the island nation of Mauritius," it added.
The flight uplifted 300 animals totaling 13,500kgs.
Kenya AirwaysCargo has a route network of over 40 destinations in Africa and beyond.
"This is the first of 6 flights chartered by the customer to uplift a total of 1800 animals to Mauritius," said the carrier.
