- Sony Group has announced the establishment of a $10 million Sony Innovation Fund: Africa (SIF: AF) to promote the development of entertainment businesses in Africa.
- The fund will support the expansion of the African entertainment industry by offering technologies, partnerships with creators, intellectual property and content among other things.
- The funding support will first go to early-stage startups in South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana with a possibility of expanding the scope of the project in the future.
