INTERNATIONAL. Leading travel F&B services provider Autogrill has hailed the ten company teams and individuals that won FAB Superstars Awards last week at the Virtual Travel Retail Expo.
As reported, FAB Superstars was a programme created by The Moodie Davitt Report this year to recognise the efforts and achievements of staff in the travel food & beverage sector around the world.
The awards programme was a key component of the Airport Food & Beverage Conference sessions (FAB 2021) at the Virtual Expo. The sessions were themed under three core pillars: Lead, Inspire, Transform, with Autogrill sponsor of the Inspire pillar.
Autogrill Group Chief Executive Officer Gianmario Tondato Da Ruos said: “We are very proud that the teams and the people at Autogrill Group have won so many awards at such a prestigious event as the FAB Conference & Awards 2021, which we attended for many years. Despite the fact that the Covid-19 pandemic was and still is an unprecedented crisis, Autogrill, thanks to the efforts of its employees, who despite this extremely challenging situation have continued to work with commitment and dedication to the customer, is optimistic about the future.”

Autogrill noted: “New this year, the FAB Superstars Awards put the limelight on the thousands of everyday heroes and heroines who, with dedication and resilience, have helped keep the travel food & beverage industry up and running during the public health emergency.”
FAB Superstars rewarded people for their dedication and hard work across five categories: Star team, Star Individual, Star Story (team or individual), Innovation (team or individual), Humanity, Leadership & Inspiration (team or individual). For each category, nominations for people or teams were invited across front-of-house, kitchen or store administration.
