Monrovia – A group of female pastors and church leaders under the banner African Women for Jesus are preparing for a national conference in Liberia aimed at praying for the continent against increasing challenges facing its people.
The organizers say women are taking the lead because “God has selected women” so that they can give Africa to Jesus.
“If we can take Jesus and bring him in full front Liberia will have the change that Liberia needs,” says Pastor Ulemu Singini of Uganda, who will be the guest of honor at the conference.
She said the crisis Africa is facing right now would not be remedied unless “Jesus is known in Africa”.
African Women for Jesus 2020 is themed: ENTER HIS KINGDOM and will start on June 27-31, 2019 with morning sessions from 08:00-1:00 p.m. and Evening Sessions from 3:00p.m–7:00p.m. at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex, Paynesville, Liberia.
The planners are mobilizing women from across Liberia and have engaged several churches, women groups, organizations and communities to ensure a massive turnout.
The conference will also include “pockets of discussions” on several other women issues including health, sexual based violence and other issues that women are experiencing on the continent.
African Women for Jesus was established six (6) years ago, precisely April 2012 by a daughter of Liberia, Bishop Dr. Matilda Tarr through divine revelation from God that; if Africa must unite and move forward, women from every corner of the continent must “Stand-up” for JESUS.
This revelation is being manifested in the physical by numerous prophecies about Africa becoming the light of our time. We believe that this is the birthing of that time, a statement from the organizers says.
