Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has granted a five-year licence to Menzies Aviation for offering ground handling services at nine South African airports.
Partly owned by the South African Government, ACSA manages the nation’s nine airports.
Menzies Aviation Middle East, Africa and Asia executive vice-president Charles Wyley said: “We are excited to continue working with our partner ACSA following the renewal of our ground handling services licence.
“This extension ensures that we are also able to continue our support of the South African government’s BBBEE integration programme, and our people can continue to develop their careers with us.

Under this licence, Menzies will provide its services at OR Tambo International Airport (JNB), Cape Town International Airport (CPT), King Shaka International Airport (DUR), Dawid Stuurman International Airport (PLZ), Bram Fischer International Airport (BFN).
It will also offer its ground handling services to George Airport (GRJ), Kimberley Airport (Kim), King Phalo Airport (ELS) and Upington International Airport (UTN).
The licence will allow Menzies to pursue further growth in the region, aligning with its strategic objectives.
Since 2008, the firm has been offering ground services to various international airlines in South Africa.
Last month, Menzies was chosen as the new cargo ground handler at Philadelphia International Airport.
Kale Logistics Solutions was selected as the technology solution provider for the airport’s cargo community system.
